I made today's card using two sets:  Tulip Corner and Never Give Up.  I LOVE these tulips. They're so beautifully shaped and remind me of the tulip garden we had in our backyard.  It was always a treat watching them bloom after the long winters.  That's why I chose to use this Philippians verse along with it.  I believe the tulips can be reminders that there can be beauty after a long cold season!

I'm keeping my post short so you can keep hopping along.  The other gals are sure to inspire!!

Welcome to a Waltzingmouse DT blog hop that we're doing just for fun.  We all wanted an opportunity to stamp with our favorite Waltzingmouse Stamp sets, while gearing up for the new release that will start March 5.  We also wanted a chance to let you know that all the Mischief Makers have joined the Design Team now.  These gals are all so talented and inspirational, that we're blessed to have them join us!!  Woo-Hoo!!

Now, for the Hop details.   I can honestly say I don't have a favorite Waltzingmouse set.  (Although I do find myself using the Say it Loud sets quite often.)   So I chose a set that I LOVE but haven't shown the attention it deserves:  Vintage Seed Packet

I just colored the carnation with Copics, cut it out, and glued it to the seed packet frame that I stamped onto Sunrise Sunset Prima dp.  The background is embossed with a Sizzix Embossing folder, and I attached the sentiment flag with two little Tim Holtz mini-staples.  Very CAS for me, but I think it showcases the beauty of the images.

Thanks for dropping by.
Here's the hop list so you don't miss a stop!  The first 9 are our newest members, so be sure to make them feel welcome!!  :)  I'm thrilled they've joined us!!

Mustache Love

Today's card was inspired by Splitcoaststampers' Sketch Challenge found HERE.  I wanted to make a Valentine card for my husband, and was inspired to use Teresa Collins' "He Said, She Said" dp because of the mustaches.  You see, I met my husband almost 26 years ago, and we've been married almost 24 years, and to this day, I've never seen him without a mustache.  So I thought it would be fun to make a card featuring them.  I even used acetate in the center of my Labels 25 image and diecut shape so as not to hide the mustaches too much.

The houndstooth Labels 25 image and sentiment are both by Waltzingmouse Stamps:  Blessed by You, and Very Vintage Labels 25.

Here's a picture of my husband taken this past summer while vacationing in Kauai.  He's not clean shaven, but shoot, we were on vacation right?  :)

Thanks for visiting my paper crafting friends!!  I hope you are having a blessing filled day.
Happy Stamping!

You're a Star: Tuesday Trigger

I ventured out today and participated in the Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday for the very first time.  I saw the feature about Carolyn King (a sweet, and oh so talented, friend of mine), and was inspired to try my hand at it. When I saw what the inspiration was, I knew I had to play along.  I adore notions of any kind: lace, buttons, clips, trim, string...anything.  So this was right up my alley.

I was drawn to the grays and tans, along with the vintage feel of the lace so I tried to combine a clean, modern look with some vintage elements using some fun new paper and twine that I just received in the mail.  The beautiful papers are from the 6x6 Memories pack by Teresa Collins. I love the collection of patterns and colors.

The sweet little sentiment "you're a star" is from Waltzingmouse Stamps' Say it Loud stamp set.  I tell ya, that set has anything in it you could possibly want to say.  I thought it fit perfectly with the little Canvas Star (Canvas Corp) that I wanted to include.

I also made my own little Twine Flower (or bow...whatever you want to call it), by gluing 3 layers of looped twine (gray and sparkly white), in 3 different sizes, together.  I added a rhinestone embellished vintage gray button to the center, and also included some lace behind the movie strip, a Primitive felt heart (Sizzix), and some buttons (PTI).

That about sums up today's card.  I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday!
Happy Stamping!

A Good Day to Play with Patterns

For the Technique Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers, Judy has challenged everyone to use 3 patterns or more on a card; paper or stamps.  I chose paper since I wanted to focus on the fun loopy burlap string flower I made.  Each loop is just individually glued with hot glue onto a felt circle.  I wanted various sizes so it wouldn't look symetrical.

The sentiment is from the Waltzingmouse Stamps set Playful Pinwheels.

Everything is pretty self explanatory so I won't bore you with all the details.

Thanks for visiting!!
Happy Stamping!

Accessories:  Burlap String, Button (PTI), Border Punch (EK Success), Pompom Trim, Sewing Machine, Rhinestones (I-Rock), Distrezz-it-All (Zutter)

You're Awesome!

I thought it would be fun to participate in the Featured Stamper challenge over on Splitcoaststampers.  The FS for the week is Janette Olen (Blessingsx3), and she has a wonderful gallery in which to choose a card to case.  I chose THIS ONE.

I had never stamped with my acrylic blocks before and thought it would be fun to give it a try.  I love the texture it gave.  I loved the colors Janette used, so I just changed the coral to a red because I wanted to include a heart.  I also loved all the white space and the clean, crisp style.  So I kept my card CAS and just added a bit of texture to the background and a diecut (Tim Holtz) felt heart.

The sentiment is from the Waltzingmouse Stamps set Playful Pinwheels.  I love the fun font.

That's it.  I'll have another post ready in a bit using the same Waltzingmouse stamp set, to fit another Splitcoaststampers challenge.

Thanks for dropping by!!
Have a great week, and
Happy Stamping!
